Be Personally Involved With Caregivers

It’s scary to go from utter independence to rely on strangers to care for you. Take the time to get your parent’s caregivers involved in getting to know your mom. This works on a two-fold purpose.
The first thing getting care providers involved and acquainted with your mom does is it eliminates or lessens fears your mom may have. Imagine what it would be like to have a complete stranger taking you to the bathroom or giving you a shower. It’s scary. That’s what elderly experience. Helping acquaint both parties helps lessen that fear.
